Non payment restriction on account
Summary: shyboy-118 faced non-payment restrictions on their account after attempting to purchase multiple items from the same seller to combine shipping costs. Despite reaching out through E-bay's chat, the AI did not recognize any unpaid items to appeal. tobiasd4 and tommystrezures suggested contacting customer support directly to speak with a human agent. Following their advice, shyboy-118 managed to resolve the issue with customer support, who removed the non-payment mark from the account.
I now have non-payment restrictions on my account, meaning i can't purchase anything. When i look this up, E-bay states that your account will be restricted if you have 2 non payment purchases in 12 months. I've tried using chat but the AI doesn't understand the issue, states i have no non payment actions on my account, so i cannot appeal a non payment.
The issue first arose when i wanted to purchase several items from the same seller over 8-9 days. I contacted them and asked if they would be okay for me to pay at the end once all items won, so they could combine postage costs. Seller said that was okay. I purchased several items from this seller, only one item to bid on and they cancelled 2 of the items, using the not received payment option. I questioned them on this and they said E-bay had done this not them and not to worry as they would just increase postage costs by £10, cost of 2 cancelled items. which they did and all paid for. But i still had this black mark with E-bay.
I've done the same for another item i purchased 2 days ago, not paid for it, until i see if i won another items from same seller, which i did not win, so paid for item in full, but now my account states i cannot purchase anything.
Any idea on how to appeal the non payment tag on my account, especially as E-bay states there is no unpaid item to appeal against?
Also with this new E-bay simple delivery system in place, how can i purchase multiple items from same seller over many days, without paying each individual item and postage without incurring this non payment penalty to my account?

OP2 weeks agoThanks for the assistance all. Now sorted, took the advice on here and eventually talked with a human, who looked at the case and withdrew the non payment mark on my account.

Mentor2 weeks agoSounds like seller has non payment cancellation auto set to default 4 days after sale end.
If you are within 30 days of unpaid strike, you can appeal to ebay.
Otherwise you will find it hard to bid and can only use immediate payment.

OP2 weeks agoThanks Tobias4, it is within the 30 days, was end of July but when i try and appeal this through E-bay, AI chat states there are no open non payment cases, so i cannot appeal. Is there anyway i can talk to a person.

Use this link to contact eBay CS, you may have to keep asking to speak to agent to get past AI.

Mentor2 weeks agoGoto the help pages and keep typing contact agent until AI decides you can have the screen with a call back - may take 4 or 5 attempts.
