Non payment, no response
I sold an item at auction which finished 8am on Friday. I messaged the seller that afternoon and again today (Tuesday)

Mentor3 weeks agoBuyers have 4 complete days to pay, so you cannot do anything until time is up which will be today at the time the purchase was made.

Mentor3 weeks agoI'm presuming you're the seller as you said seller twice in your post.
If you do not wish to sell the item anymore, message the buyer explaining why, see if they accept, then you can cancel citing Buyer Requests to Cancel, and it won't affect your seller performance.
As they are not replying to your messages, and if they do not agree to you cancelling, you cannot be forced to send the item, but this is bad selling, eBay do not like disappointed buyers, and you can get a damaging defect on your account and receive bad feedback, which is very off putting for future buyers to read.
Any reason why you do not wish to post the item?

@*vyolla* is correct in the process for a non payer, but with auctions not everyone watches them when they finish and may not realise they've won.
After 4 clear day of non payment have lapsed follow vyolla's advice how to handle a non payment.
It's definitely Specsavers for me later!

Mentor3 weeks agoI'm guessing that you are the seller here.
After 4 days you can cancel and select the reason as 'buyer didn't pay’ (eBay works in 24hr cycles so the option won’t be available until 4 x 24hrs have passed). There’s a link on this eBay page:

The non-payer can't leave feedback and gets a non-payment strike against their account, which sticks to it for a year.
Don't be tempted to leave feedback for a non-payer - it can only be positive and will enable them to remove the strike they receive.
Set your Buyer Requirements to block bidders with two or more non-payment strikes in the last 12 months and add them to your Blocked Buyer List with this link:
