Personally, with such a high rate of non payers, I would be tempted to list all items in a Buy it Now format you could add a Best Offer option too, and select immediate payment, this way the item stays for sale until actual payment is received.
they will be punished if on day 4 you cancel with - buyer did not pay. They get an unpaid strike and 2 strikes in a year makes it nearly impossible for them to buy.

Mentor9 months agoThey do, but only if sellers cancel orders for for unpaid items after 4 days of non payment. Buyer receives a deserved unpaid item strike.
2 strikes and the buyer will not be able to buy from the majority of sellers for a full 12 months.
If they carry on acquiring strikes, eBay will remove them from the site. These unpaid cases do work.
