No 'send invoice' option to amend a heavier parcel
Summary: blackbeard6901 encountered an issue with an eBay transaction where the parcel size exceeded the initial delivery agreement. They expressed frustration over eBay's system not allowing them to amend the invoice to reflect increased delivery costs and insurance. **peaseblossom** advised that the best solution would be to cancel the current transaction with the buyer's agreement and relist it correctly. blackbeard6901 thanked **peaseblossom** for their prompt responses and help, noting the complexity of the situation.
Hi,
So the situation is the parcel is larger than expected since its an electrical dust extractor I sold and packaging and dimensions
are over the size of the buyers request for Simple delivery. I printed the simple delivery before packing. My mistake. It needs a Parcelforce 48 large with added cover upto £400. I am trying
not to cancel and relist, however Ebay AI is not working in our favour. It keeps referring to 'Send invoice' with the new
higher delivery costs instead of cancelling and relist. However, no Send invoice option. In fact all other options 1. Dont allow me to
amend invoice as Ebay AI bot keeps saying and 2. No way to address new costs within ebay.
I am new to this and feel stuck in limbo which eventually will alienate my buyer if not resolved. Luckily, for now, the buyer has agreed
to increase the cost and also add insurance to be split 50/50 between seller and buyer. The buyer knows if I cancel and relist his money
wont be refunded immediately hence reason we are trying to amend rather than cancel.
Can anyone assist with this. Will be much appreciated.
Kind regards.

OP3 weeks agoIf Ebay want to improve their services, which they keep asking, they need to update the AI bots for issues like this as newbies like me are going round in a loop. Not particularly user friendly to the seller nor the buyer.

Mentor3 weeks agoYou can't send an invoice these days. You would have to cancel with buyer's agreement and relist with correct postage.
