No News is Good News – Why All eBay Feedback Should Default to Positive
Just a thought – feedback really doesn’t reflect seller performance the way it should. On Amazon, reviews are for products, not sellers, but on eBay it’s our only “report card.” The problem is, most buyers don’t leave any feedback at all, so a seller with 1,000 smooth sales might only show 100 ratings. That’s hardly fair. Right now only tracked items sometimes get automatic positive feedback, which unfairly penalises collection, oversized, or tiny low-value items. The truth is, if a buyer hasn’t left neutral or negative feedback, we can safely assume everything went fine. Why not make positive feedback the default unless otherwise stated? After all, in real life no news is good news — and that would be a far more accurate reflection of seller reliability than the current system.

Starting late April, automated positive feedback will be added to your feedback profile 7 days after tracking confirms successful delivery, provided the following criteria are met:
