No credit card no sale!?
I'm trying to buy a rotary cutter but, because I'm 39 years old and don't have a credit card, I can't buy one because the only way to verify I'm over 18 is with a credit card!?
Is this a thing?
Is it legal to demand a credit card number when that's not even an acceptable form of ID?

MentorJul 16, 2026 at 4:45 PMIt's a legal requirement for eBay to confirm a buyer is over 18.
The only method eBay will accept is a credit card, other forms of id may be used by other sites but not here.
A credit card was chosen as all the verification has already been done and saves eBay time (and money)
