New Simple Delivery option which is not simple

Simple Delivery is causing me major issues and will not work for my sales as I travel out of the UK regularly, to date, I give a long delivery date but when in UK, ship quickly, but if I am overseas, send a message to my buyers stating there is a delay. Have any other sellers experienced these problems where eBay are taking total control?

You are selling Brand New items, so if you were correctly registered as ax usiness seller you could use your own postage.Simple Delivery is only forced on private seller, and is not at all flexible.

If you're a private seller just selling off you own personal possessions (not buying items to re-sell) then Simple Delivery is mandatory. The option to opt out and select you own custom postage is only available for items in specific categories that are priced £20 and under. This includes items which are typically letter or large letter-sized and 100g or under.

If you delay sending your items out you may get damaging late delivery defects against your selling account, many sellers aren't aware that it only takes a few of these to get an account banned so do keep an eye on your Seller Dashboard.
