new private account, suspension on account and policy violation on ALL listings
I have been selling on ebay for 22 years now. Starting as a private seller but then as a business seller. I have ended up with 3 business accounts because ebay insisted that all my accounts should be business accounts if I buy and sell. However, many of my items are actually personal items... in fact around 200 of them. So, I decided to set up a new private account and started to list some items on it. My account was then suspended and all my listed ended with policy violation. NO explanation from ebay... just "tough s**t" attitude. Can anyone help. In frustration I've now opted to close ALL of my accounts. I don't normally get so annoyed but this is ridiculous.

What were the items you were selling on your Private account which were pulled and account suspended ?
Were they Brand New items, bought to sell or hand made items? They all need listing on a Business account.
What did the eBay message describe as the policy violation? They must have explained the errors made to suspend your account.

OP11 months agoThis is the message:
"Because your selling activity indicates you’re operating as a business seller, you must upgrade your eBay account to a business account to comply with consumer protection legislation outlined in our Business Policy.
Since your account is currently set up as a personal account, it has been restricted from selling on eBay."
I have explained that these items are personal items. Literally items from within our home that have been collected over the years, nik-naks, jewellery, ornaments, books, clothes... all used, my mum is in her 80's and has accumulated a lot of things obviously so some of the things are hers. Not items that have been bought to re-sell. I have 3 business accounts for this purpose. I have one for selling brand new things and ones for selling a few bits of antiques/collectables etc that i've picked up to re-sell. So, I'm being totally honest about what is and what isn't for re-sale and another I set up with my sister for selling a few new bits.
However, having transferred what items that are personal belonging onto a personal/private account I find that all of them have "This listing has been removed for a policy violation." on every single one. Yes, I listed 125 items and it took me all week but this doesn't mean its a policy violation and i think this is totally wrong of ebay to suspend this account and remove all my listings. There arguement was "you can't sell on this account" which make NO sense whatsoever. Followed by... we've sent you an email... which was exactly the same as the ebay message.
I really wish someone could explain this illogical decision for me. I don't see why I should have to sell my own personal belongings on a business account just because I do have business accounts. I did look it up and I am within policy to have these separate accounts for separate things. ..... Totally tripped out and confused by all this... not to mention a very big headache and waste of an entire day trying to find sense in it.
