new items that fail within few weeks of purchase
I purchased a new headphone set for my computer ,in march this year (end off March) Now on the 18th of July it is giving me serious trouble as if its almost completely faulty .The seller told me to contact ebay ,,and after searching ebay rules its not very clear if I am protected ,unlike Amazon where refunds are almost immediate,,I m fast becoming the mind set ,,its much safer shopping with Amazon

Mentor3 weeks ago · EditedOn the contrary, I'm afraid that eBay makes it very clear that you are NOT protected.
There is a link to eBay's money back guarantee in every listing, and the T&C state very clearly that items are only covered for 30 days from the date of delivery.
You have left so many bad feedbacks about poor quality and service from sellers. But eBay did warn you in section 2 of the legal agreement that they do not guarantee the quality of items sold here, or that they will be truthfully described, safe - or even legal. These are the risks you accepted in buying from unknown sellers here. eBay is a jungle.

Mentor3 weeks agoEbay 30 day MBG is in addition to your consumer rights.
But ebay won't get involved with those, you bought from seller on ebay, not ebay themselves.
Citizens advice is next action if seller not being helpful.
