New compulsory AI listing tool
Am I the only person who hates this New AI listing tool?
I sell Antique items and it’s completely inaccurate with its assumptions on categories and everything else. It’s twice the work having to correct everything. I know things change but why does eBay have to make our lives more difficult. It’s not the first thing that makes it harder to sell on here.

Mentor2 weeks agoHave seen other comments about this, but seems unreasonable for AI to be forced on sellers. Are you sure it is not just an option, with option to back out if you do not like the wording.
I have looked at AI descriptions, and in most cases think they are awful, and use the link to go back to my factual description. Using AI without careful editing seems to invite Not As Described cases

Mentor2 weeks agoI'm not seeing that, I can see a button to use AI description bottom right of the description field, but nothing to indicate anything compulsory.

OP2 weeks agoIt’s when you go to List a item it now opens with camera or photo option and from photo makes assumptions

Mentor2 weeks agoThe listing tool has opened with photo/video field for a few years now.
Can you screenshot whatever you're seeing that makes AI compulsory and post it here please?

Mentor2 weeks ago@*vyolla* there was a very similar thread to this from another user earlier, I couldn't get it to replicate, but the common denominator of the two is if you take pictures first.

I'm presuming that this is an app thing then.

Mentor2 weeks agoI suspect so, if you put the title of your item eg a push bike in first its easy to over ride with no pictures then add the pictures after (as per my notes in the other thread) and fill in the details.
