Negative feedback which is slanderous to my business
This is the feedback left from the buyer :
"It is a fake, I have many of these and this one is a fake. The badge is placed wrong. The stitching is wrong, the label both attached on arrival and on the inside are bothering. It’s also far too bagging around the top. Avoid, buy direct from Pachamama"
I contacted ebay they just sided with the buyer saying:
"Our decision
We reviewed the feedback, and can see that the buyer found that the item wasn't as described in the listing.
For this reason, the feedback was not removed. Just so you know, this feedback will not impact your seller performance level.
Surely there is something wrong that a buyer can slander your business and ebay turn their backs??
I have a business account with the company where I get my stock, and can prove it is genuine?
and telling buyers to Avoid me is just awful.

Mentor7 months agoI'd message the buyer and ask them if they'd like to revise that negative feedback as your products are sourced direct from Pachamama, which you can prove via supplier receipts and you are a legitimate business.
Tell them that selling counterfeit products, whether online or via a shop, is illegal in the UK and that their feedback is slanderous and may affect sales, so you may look to take legal action against them for their comments.

Mentor7 months agoI always thought ( happy to be proved wrong) that the mentioning of fake in a feedback Was grounds for the seller to ask for its removal.
I also know that it depends greatly on receiving a CS agent who knows all the rules concerning feedback, when asking for one to be removed. Perhaps you were unlucky when you got through. 🤔
I would call again, but only speak to Dublin. It's not easy to get through to a live agent currently, but if you persist keep telling the bot you need to speak to an agent you will get through Dublin usually answer when lines first open for ' live agents' at 8 a.m. on weekdays, try then. It's a Call back when you do get through so you'll hear if it's the dulcet tones of Dublin calling !
Try with this link keep on asking for an agent!

·7 months agoYou can always ask Ebay again to remove the feedback but it is the buyer's opinion of the transaction so they are unlikely to remove it.
One bad feedback would not put me off buying from you.
However, your reply to the feedback, where you name the buyer and so break Ebay's rules, is more damaging than the feedback from the buyer.
I would not buy from a seller who feels they can reveal my identity if I was unhappy with my purchase and left a negative.

OP7 months agoThank you jckl1957 for your advise, I was not aware of the naming of the buyer rule, I can't edit the reply to take It out unfortunately, I was so mad and shocked at the time of my reply as you can probably tell?
I think the system for contacting ebay regarding negative feedback needs to be addressed, as you can blatantly see her feedback is slanderous and telling people to avoid should not be allowed to happen.
