NEGATIVE FEEDBACK THAT I LEFT HAS BEEN REMOVED?
Summary: magicands expressed frustration over the removal of their negative feedback on eBay, questioning why they were not notified and suspecting eBay might be selectively removing negative feedback. They detailed a poor experience with a seller who delayed shipping and inaccurately reported the order's status. Other participants suggested that feedback may have been removed due to breaching eBay's feedback rules, such as mentioning cases or refunds, and advised more generic feedback comments to avoid removal. tobiasd4 noted that eBay typically does not inform users about feedback removal. The lack of notification about the removal further contributed to magicands's frustration.
Why has my negative feedback been removed, also, why was I not notified that this had been done.
This is not the first time that I have left negative feedback only to have it removed. I do not make a habit of leaving negative feeback, in 24 years on eBay I have perhaps left 5 in total.
Are eBay cherry picking the feedback.
The seller that I left negative feedback for was playing delaying tactics on my order as he did not have the item. eBay customer service even agreed with me and I was refunded the money, this refund however, should not negate the ability for me to leave negative feedback?

Mentor3 months agoEbay never inform you.
If comments break feedback rules, they just remove it.

Mentor3 months agoInstead of going into detail, if you say something like "Unsatisfactory transaction" it won't break any feedback rules.

OP3 months agoMy feedback was honest, polite and completely true. If that breaks rules then something is wrong with that policy?

Mentor3 months agoWe don't know why this feedback was removed, but looking at the neg you left earlier this month may provide a clue.
You complained that the seller was selling items supplied through AliExpress or Temu, but eBay allows business sellers to fulfil their orders by direct drop-shipping to customers from a trade wholesaler who provides this service.
You also complained "10 days and still nothing" but perhaps you hadn't noticed that the estimated delivery date was between 7 and 14 days.
I have no doubt that this feedback too would have been removed if the seller had reported it.

OP3 months agoTen days and stillbnot posted, he posted 14 days after payment. His terms stated that "All orders were dispatched in 10 days. The item arrived well after the estimated delivery date and I had purchased one elsewhere by then I asked him to cancel the order but he refused, then 24 hrs later asked me if I wanted to cancel. All in, a very negative experience and ebay customer service agreed with me. Why the feedback was removed is still a mystery, despite your attempt an an answer. Thanks though.

Mentor3 months agoYou can leave a negative feedback, but if you break feedback rules, the seller may ask for it to be removed.
Would help to give you an accurate answer if we knew Exactly what you wrote.
As a rough guidline, mention anything about a case, refund, any eBay involvement, breaks feedback rules.

OP3 months agoI wrote that he posted the item 14 days from date of payment, his terms state all orders shipped in 10 days, so that's number 1. Number 2 was I asked to cancel the order when I knew it would not arrive on time, He refused but then 24 hrs later asked if I wanted to cancel the order. I said yes, he said, too late it's shipped. Then he said it was in my Country when in reality it hadn't left the airport in China. These were my negative comments. How that can be removed is beyond me?
