This is very frustrating. I ordered a Samsung phone (item number 127886967049) from a seller with 100% feedback for the buy it now price of £159.99 and paid immediately. The following day, the parcel was marked as dispatched at a Royal Mail drop box, later the same day the phone price increased to £259.99. Needless to say my phone did not arrive, a Royal Mail investigation using CCTV footage of the drop box revealed that no parcel was left at the drop box at the time shown. I tried to contact the seller three times but no reply was received. After 9 days, I raised a case with eBay and requested a replacement phone as the seller still had 5 left. No reply, but within ten minutes eBay had authorised a refund, even though I had requested a replacement item. I left negative feedback highlighting all of these points, within a couple of hours the feedback had been removed, undoubtedly at the sellers request. No explanation was given to me about why, meanwhile this seller is happily going along with his 100% feedback score and may well do the same to other buyers. Is this really how eBay treats it's buyers now. It certainly feels like a two tier system, one for the buyer and one for the seller.

OP2 months agoOK, thanks for the insight. I have only ever left two negatives both for non delivery of items. When you report item not received, there is an option to either still want your item or refund. It just seems very one sided, a seller can simply not post out an item and then remove negative feedback, then selling as a 100% positive feedback seller. I can understand the need to protect sellers from malicious or untrue feedback, however, it shouldn't be so one sided. Thanks for replying.

OP2 months agoSorry, one more point/question, is there any way I can contact eBay to discuss the reasons for the removal. I am quite annoyed with this and going through the links to contact eBay there seems no way of reaching the right person.

Mentor2 months agoI don't know ebay give option of still receiving item, they will always sort refund.
If you mention ebay or refund (like you did in other negative feedback), then seller can get it removed.
