Need to contact a human at eBay

Question

I purchased an item recently and it was broken when I received it. I sent the item back at my own expense and then several days later a message from eBay asking me to send it back. I am waiting for the seller to refund or send duplicate item, cannot find any details on how to speak to a human at eBay

It's hard to actually speak to ebay these days. You have to click on help at top of page and type in speak to agent, several times if necessary. But you should have opened a return and got a paid-for postage label via ebay. See if you can change the tracking number at Purchase History > View return details. If not try contacting ebay, or if the seller is honest they can just issue refund anyway.

Thank you. Unfortunately I returned the item before I got the message from eBay to set up a return. The seller said they would check the item from 15/8, not heard anything and really disappointed with eBay as unable to contact but I’ll try your suggestion.
