Need advise as seller not responding
Summary: dhansukh2005 purchased an electric tyre pressure machine with a lifetime warranty on eBay, but the device became faulty and the seller is unresponsive. They reached out to eBay for support but were informed that since the purchase is beyond the 30-day mark, eBay cannot assist directly. Several participants, including papso22, john1297576, *vyolla*, and tommystrezures, suggested consulting Citizens Advice and checking if the warranty is from the seller or manufacturer. dhansukh2005 will review the original packaging and documentation to verify the warranty details.

Mentor1 month agoAny warranty offered by any seller anywhere is only ever going to be as good as your ability to enforce it when required and, as you've unfortunately discovered, you can’t.
eBay won't get involved with warranty issues, they have a 30 day Money Back Guarantee/Buyer Protection and you're obviously way past that now.
If your seller is a UK registered business seller you could contact Citizens Advice or one of the online consumer forums to ask about pursuing this via a legal claim.

Mentor1 month agoConsult Citizens advice. Who gave the warranty, did you buy from a Business Seller, or Private seller. If a private seller warranties are rarely transferable.

dhansukh2005
OP1 month agoFound the original box ad its paperwork - nothing mentioned about product warranty on the paper just the usage instructions in 6 different languages including in English - When I ask seller any question he has not responded once. He has a UK based shop and selling many other products - If I select alternative product and send him a message via that he does not reply

Mentor1 month agoDepending on the value it might be worth exploring your options with citizens advice.
Warranties on items sold on ebay are usually worthless as it's so hard to enforce them.
