Mentor5 months agoI agree that business sellers pay fees.
But, it is the law that you are properly registered.
As said, It can put some buyers off buying from you.

·5 months agoI would usually expect to sell a few items every week, but last week I sold nothing and this week, I only have a bid on one item.
It is just very quiet on the site at the moment and there is not much spare money about. I would guess because of rising food and fuel prices.
However, as stated, a lot of savvy buyers would look at your items and then look elsewhere.
Because you are trading from a private account, buyers have to pay the buyer protection fee to Ebay and then, if they are not happy with their items, you have a 'no returns' policy.
There are costs to you if you change to a business account, but you would at least be trading legally as you would have to display your details on your listings and accept returns for any reason.

Mentor5 months agoA lot of sales are slow at the moment.
It doesn't help that you are an unregistered business.
it denies buyers their consumer rights and put buyers off.

Mentor5 months agoIt's truly not a matter do do what's cheaper for you, but to do what is right, that is , if you are selling all Brand new items, this constitutes a Business Account, and there you're giving your buyers the rights they are entitled to.
A Private account the one you are using, is for selling used unwanted items say a garage, wardrobe, attic clear out. Unwanted clothing / household items.
It's easy to change the account you are using, to the correctly registered business account this way....
Probably best to use a PC / laptop for this, and not the app or mobile browser. Chrome seems to work best on eBay.
