My max bid was more than it sold for

I was bidding on something, my max bid was £15.01 but it sold for £13.97 and said I was out bid and didn’t win it . Got screenshot of my max bid and what it actually went for which was less than. Can I do anything about it ?

After the Buyer Protection fee was added on, the winning bid was £15.05 - you simply didn't bid enough.

Ebay add Buyer Protection Fee on so a bid of 13.97 + BPF of 1.08 is higher than you bid.

What was the item number?

If you look at the bidding history, you will see that the maximum bid was higher than yours.
