Multiple Business Accounts
Hi, I would like to know how many business accounts can a seller have please? And what information needs to be changed for each account? For them to be accepted on eBay, with no problems.
Some online articles say it's okay to have multiple business accounts as long as they have a different email and username, but they can have the same bank details, contact number and address and other online articles say that all information needs to be different - IP address, bank details, contact number and address. So I'm a bit confused!! 😵💫🥴 Also some articles say it's okay to link accounts with the same information and others say don't!? 🤔
I only have a personal account at the moment but would like to set up a business account and I also have other business ideas, so would just like to understand how it works please, so I can legally set up a business account (s) with no issues.

Mentor9 months agoAs said is there any point at this stage considering multiple accounts. Better to see how it works out, and get to understand the fees to be paid etc.
It is possible that running more than one account could prove more expensive than one account, there are so many variations on the services you can pay for, so in my opinion best to understand costs first.
A business account is not like a private account with 300 listings per month with no listing fees and no selling fees, unless you promote listings and use services that have fixed fees.

·9 months agoYou could (should) start by upgrading this account to a business account.
Currently, you are selling multiples of brand new items from a private account.
If you are trading (buying to sell) you need a business account.
As this account has a history of selling and 100% positive feedback, keeping this as you first business account would be a good start.

OP9 months agoAnd would you recommend selling the same different items I'm selling now on the same account or keep some specific items for this account and other items for another separate business account later on?

·9 months agoYou can convert this account to a business account and open a new private account.
Personally, I don't see any advantage to having multiple business accounts - maybe ask for that sort of advice on the business seller board.

Mentor9 months agoI believe the maximum accounts to own are 8 but you cannot interconnect them at all.
They just have to have a different email address and different username ID for each.
