more royal snail issues
how many lost / stolen / mislaid parcels do we have to be subject to before royal mail get their act together???
Why do I have to wait 24 hours to report an item stolen / mislaid / lost by royal mail before I can report it to ebay???
Are other selling platforms better??

The buyer has to open a not received case, not the seller. There is no facility for seller to report not arrived, for whatever reason, to ebay.

Mentor3 weeks agoIn that case one day after the latest estimated delivery date showing on your order you can open an eBay item not received claim.
There's a waiting period to give any slightly delayed item time to arrive.

OP3 weeks agowhich used to be sensible, but delivery companies notify recipients as soon as it is 'delivered' I received an email notifying me of the 'delivery' at 11:06, and there is no parcel and my cctv shows no royal mail operatives near my property at that time. Deduction would indicate either the operative kept it, or it was delivered to an address outside the area, therefore it is not delayed and I should be able to report it immediately

Mentor3 weeks agoDo you get the 'wait 24hrs' message when you try to open an eBay item not received claim?
To be honest, if the tracking number is showing 'delivered' you won't win an eBay item not received claim anyway, you may be better off going straight to your payment provider unless the tracking shows GPS delivery co-ordinates that don't match your delivery address.

How often is this happening to you, out of curiosity?
