money from selling on hold

This year my card was red flagged for no reason eBay told me once that red flag is on they can’t remove it ? I was told to get a new card visa debit which I did some six months later this too has been red flagged only on money going into the account from sales made when I asked why I was told it’s because Nationwide will not allow eBay to fees from the account. Unfortunately, we can't do much to help over this channel with this type of query. However, to give you more context and try to help as much as I possibly can, when this happen it doesn't necessarily means that your bank is placing a block or a restriction on your card. Most banks have security automated systems, and they could automatically block/stop funds from being taken from your card. When we are unable to charge or verify your selling costs payment methods, then your funds are placed on hold until this is resolved.

Unfortunately, there is not much we can do in this kind of situations, and this is because your bank is not necessarily deliberately placing blocks or anything like that on your card, so we can't take any funds, and because all we are trying to do is to charge the the payment method but this is being stopped/blocked, there is nothing we can do since it is not us stopping this from happening.

This could be happening for a number of reasons, like your bank security system thinking the transaction is risky, so it flags it and stops it, we've seen this happens a lot when users are using VPNs, another one is because the network that is being used is not secure enough, etc. Some banks are more strict than others, I understand this is not ideal, but when this kept happening, a good workaround used to be getting a card from banks like Monzo or Revolut, for example. This was because it was easy and free to sign up with them, but this is only if you want, and obviously this doesn't necessarily means that you will be exempt from this in the future as they also run their own security checks, but you'd have better odds.

I do not see why a card comes into this. Buyers pay money to ebay, who allocate it to your account. Once released you transfer from ebay to your Bank Account.

Money is not held on a card, and at no time does a card need to come into these transactions, just ebay account snd your bank account.
