Mix up posting an item

Question

I sold an item using eBay Simple Delivery, but I accidentally sent the parcel using my own Evri postage rather than the Simple Delivery label. The parcel has already been dispatched and I have an Evri tracking number. Can you please advise how I can add the tracking to the order and make sure the buyer and my account are protected?

You can't change tracking number if you don't use Simple Delivery. You can message your buyer with the tracking details. If necessary you would be able to add the new number to an "Item not received" case if one was opened. Payment may be held for 14 days.
