Missing delivery
Help please
I had an order delivered and left on my doorstep whilst I was at work. When i arrived home the parcel was missing. I contacted seller who was of no help so had to open an item not received case. I lost this as delivered to my doorstep is considered delivered. I am now £90 out of pocket with no item. What do I do now as I cant afford to loose £90

If you paid with a debit or credit card, and have a photo of the package left on your doorstep, you can pursue a refund via your card provider, simply issue a not received chargeback.
Your seller won't lose out, they'll be protected by eBay Seller Protection.

Mentor6 months agoI'm afraid nothing you can do through eBay as neither the seller nor eBay are responsible where a postie / courier deems a place ' safe' to leave an item.
I'm so sorry this has happened but it's not uncommon.
Some people have had luck contacting their home insurance who have helped with a refund, not a given I know, but worth a try.

I do not have house insurance to claim off
I thought Ebay buyer protection protected me for this exact thing
I have paid £90 for an item yet received nothing
I know technically it shows as delivered but leaving on my doorstep is clearly not a safe delivery or delivered to me
I have been with Ebay for 15 years and I have never experienced anything like this
Surely there must be some options open to me?
I can't just suck up a £90 loss it's too much!

Mentor6 months agoI'm so sorry, but eBay cannot prevent thefts from doorsteps, they can only guarantee full refunds if an item is not delivered , which yours was, as above they cannot be liable for where an item is left.
Was this a Royal Mail delivery or courier e.g. Evri ?
It's not easy, but you could contact them, and try and prove the item was not left in a safe place.
Is there a safe place around your property that could have been used?
