Misled postage
Summary: nowt.taken.out expressed frustration after purchasing a spanner on eBay for £6.40, assuming there was no postage charge since it was not mentioned. However, they were unexpectedly charged £19 for delivery from America. They feel misled, as they were not informed of the delivery cost beforehand, and attempts to contact the seller have gone unanswered.
I purchased a spanner from Ebay £6.40 there was no mention of postage so I thought maybe free, and no mention of where it was coming from and as it was in £ I thought this country, I was wrong they charged me £19 for delivery as it was coming from America, I didn't check till a couple of days later after another spanner I ordered had been delivered so it was too late to cancel. I have contacted the seller but no response, I feel as if I have been mislead as they should know why would I order a £6 spanner and pay £19 postage???

Mentor2 weeks agoEven if it was freepost for USA buyers, unlikely it is free to UK.
You will also pay VAT.
You need to check costs carefully before paying, invoice will show total.
