Misleading title of listing
Summary: omar.taifour purchased a necklace advertised as Bakelite but found the description unclear and the seller unhelpful. They are concerned about paying for an untested item without any mention of testing in the title. **peaseblossom** advised not to pay if possible, or to wait for the item and file a 'not as described' return if already paid, noting to avoid further communication with the seller if they remain unhelpful.
Hi all, first time asking here
Bought a necklace off a listing that says (bakelite ) , description said nothing and apparently the condition report it mentioned (not sure if this is bakelite )
The key thing here for me is the title , I'm fine buying untested items as long it mentions so and the price matches the risk, not paying 150 aud for an untested necklace where the title doesn't mention so
It's in me for not checking condition report , seller is on the aggressive side tbh
Do I have options here? The way seller is handling the discussion seems likely they have done this few times before, misleading title and (not my problem ) later
Thanks for any advice

Mentor3 weeks agoYou are shown as in UAE, but. mention Australian Dollar. Keep in mind the cost of returning, in theory seller pays but when not in the same country this can prove difficult to enforce.

Mentor3 weeks agoIf you haven't paid don't pay and the seller can cancel. If you have paid and the seller refuses to cancel wait to get the item then open a "not as described" return to get your money back. Do not continue to communicate with the seller if they are being unhelpful.
