Misleading items put up for sale and seller not taking advice . Ebay do nothing when asked?
I am a professional Tv, Satellite and Broadband service provider based on the Island of Ireland , operating for 25 yrs with a pretty good reputation. I have in the last 2 years seen several and I mean several attempts by sellers to sell older SKY SD BOXES. These boxes are totally useless since November 2024 and maybe some seller do not realise this . I have to say that those I have sent a message to advising them of this fact have in general taken the i tem down. However some are saying its the buyer's issue and this wrong. I buy the right boxes for in general older folks, who need a replacement, or might just need an inexpensive means to watching free to air tv in the uk or ireland .I have reported this issue to EBAY but as yet I never had a response or acknowledgement of my message or even a reaction from them. Does the Community know how to get this issue addressed? Martin

We give honest answers, which often is more than ebay do.

Mentor7 months agoAs you said these items can still be used, so are not obsolete.
Ebay will say buyers are covered by MBG, so can return item within 30 days.
The only way ebay will react is if Sky contact them.

Mentor7 months agoEbay provides a 30 day money back guarantee, so anyone buying something that does not work
1. can get a full refund.
2. Leave appropriate feedback for future buyers.
Ebay really only take notice of cases opened, reporting listings as no longer working or out of date gets nowhere and ebay staff are not qualified to know this information.
