Making offers/counter offers and picking click+collect
Summary: retronautuk is experiencing issues when trying to use 'click and collect' while making or responding to offers, even when the option is supposed to be available. They are concerned that accepting or making a counteroffer could result in unwanted delivery to their home address due to the system defaulting to standard mail options. They seek advice on how to ensure 'click and collect' is correctly applied, as they've faced this problem before.
I've noticed when making offers, there is often not an option listed to select "click and collect" - only royal mail delivery or collect in person for more, even when the listing says click and collect is offered.
this puts me off making offers. Is there a way round this?
Today I've received an offer from a buyer, the listing says it accepts "click and collect". Normally at check out, you can pick "click and collect" and select the store but this doesn't seem possible.
I want to make a counteroffer. If I click "couteroffer" I get no option to pick click and collect, it just says standard royal mail and this can't be changed, but I don't want it posted to my address, I want click and collect.
I'm worried if I make a counter-offer it wil automatically go to taking my payment automatically and set the order to delivery to my home address. this has happened before for me and I don't want it to happen again.
Has anyone else experienced this and know a way round it?

Mentor2 weeks agoUnfortunately not all payment or delivery methods are available through the make an offer feature. No idea why this is the case but it's always been like that.
