Listings erroneously removed in the sexual wellness category
Hi - I am a business seller and I've been approved for selling sex toys in the sexual wellness category for many years.
Over the last 2 months I have had 20+ items removed for so-called policy violations.
I've been so busy recently so I only just got around to talking to support about this using the ebay call-back facility.
An American guy called me back and after about 30 minutes could only suggest that I click on the link in the latest email received (regarding item: 224849408252 - Clone a Willy)
The link in the email is for sellers applying "to be considered for eligibility to list in these categories". But I was already authorised several years ago!
I have around 40 items listed under the sexual wellness category. I explained to this American guy that only 'approved sellers' are able to list in these categories, so that is proof enough that I am already approved.
We went around in circles and at one point he asked me "Who approved you to sell such items?" To which I replied "Ebay, of course". I ended the call after the frustration got too much for me.
So.... it seems to me that an AI bot has been trawling everybody's listings for policy violations and has erroneously removed these listings without first checking if I am approved to list them.
Any suggestions as to how to get these listings reinstated?
Is there someone within ebay that I can send an email to about this and get it resolved?

Mentor6 months agoeBay do not receive / answer emails on these matters.
You do need to contact CS again, as unfortunately it is a fact, you may get some more helpful agents who are better informed in these matters, than others.
I strongly recommend contacting CS 8 a.m. on a weekday when the lines open for ' live agents' as then, there's more chance of Dublin answering. Only speak to them, it's a Call Back option, so you'll hear if it's the dulcet tones of the Emerald Isles answering.
This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

OP6 months agoThanks for your suggestion. I think you are right - the Irish folk are usually much more helpful.
I will try this when I can manage to get up earlier than usual.
