Listing still not showing after 1 day
Summary: welcome_back_again is experiencing an issue where their listing is not appearing, despite having waited for a day. Does anyone know why I get this?
I posted a listing yesterday and if I search for it by keywords or item no. it does not show in the results (there are only 2 other products like this for sale on ebay so it's easy to tell if it's there or not).
If I navigate from the browser's address bar typing the full link to the product, it appears:
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/397886013343
If I type in ebay's search bar 397886013343 or half of the listing title or the product code (also present in the title) then I get no results whatsoever.
If I type in ebay's search bar Q-PSU48 then I only get the other 2 items sold by other sellers.
And now listen to this: I used another computer and wento to ebay.co.uk and navigated to my feedback profile without logging in, then I clicked see seller's items for sale and there is no trace of this item but I returned to my other computer and saw it has not yet sold. In other words, it looks like my new items have been set to hidden.
My very first item I sold showed up immediately and in top positions in the search results!
Is this perhaps a psychological way to induce me to "promote" my item?
Has anyone else experienced the same treatment?
And I don't even want to talk about the bogus View counter.

OP5 months agoUPdate: I just read an ebay article about this, it says that it can take up to 24 hr to show. In effect, I did list this item yesterday, perhaps just under 24 hours. Let's wait and see.

OP5 months agothank you for your help checking. Yes I woke up and searched for the item, it now shows. It was a matter of waiting, but never took that long before.

Mentor5 months agoAs you have discovered it may take 24 hours for listings to show, also you revised the listing each time you make a revision the listing returns to the back of the indexing queue to be listed adding more time.
