Late delivery Defect Appeal
I have an order that was dispatched on the same day when it's ordered, with the receipt from post office evidence that. The buyer claimed it's not received a week later, and I raised that to Royal Mail, who confirmed the failure to deliver that.
I applied for a defect appeal as it's dispatched on time, but rejected. I contacted the customer service, who said the rejection was due to the tracking number was added a week later. Tracking numbers are normally automatically updated when the postage is generated, and I didnt even notice some were not updated including this one. The customer service said they cann't do anything as it's their policy, even dispatch date is showing clearly in the tracking.
I feel this is so unfair and sellers are punished for their own ineffective system functions.
Has anyone experienced this and what do you do from there? Thanks.

Mentor11 months agoThe only peeps who can remove account defects, are Customer Services.
I know you have contacted CS , but try again, but this time do so on a weekday as near to 8 a.m. that is when 'live agents' come on duty, and then there's more chance of Dublin answering, only speak to them. It's a Call Back option so you'll hear if it's Ireland calling ! 🙂
This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.
