I am really fuming as I purchased a Laptronix hot water dispenser a couple of months ago, and it consistently boiled over onto my worktops, so I have stand and watch it. I thought that was just the way it worked and didn't have an automatic cut off like most kettles nowadays, and that I would just have to put up with it. This was until a friend of mine purchased the same make and model, and guess what hers cuts off when the cup or mug is full. I have contacted Laptronix who I purchased it from, but all they can say is sorry, no mention of a replacement or refund. I am so fed up with this that I am going back to my very old kettle which does cut of when boiling point is reached. My advice, think twice before you purchase this item. £44 is a lot of money if the item is not fit for purpose and is awkward to return!

But as said, it is now between you and seller.

Mentor5 months agoYou're too late for ebay case, you only had 30 days.
Try your payment provider, some allow 120 days.
Or contact citizens advice.

We are not eBay. We're just other members, like yourself.
eBay's own money back guarantee only lasts for 30 days. Afer that they have no involvement. You accepted this in the user agreement.
Any responsibility now rests with the seller, or manufacturer (if they provided a warranty). If no success, you may be able to get help from your payment provider, e.g. credit or debit card issuer. Their time limit is likely to be around 120 days.
Incidentally, you also accepted in the user agreement that eBay does not guarantee the quality of items sold here, that they will be truthfully decribed or even safe or legal. eBay is not like the shops, this can be a risky place to buy things. As an OAP who can't afford to lose money this may be a point to remember in the future.
