Ladder return fees
I have bought some ladders, the company offer money back guarantee. The rungs as it turns out are to too thin for me and not comfortable. Asking the company to return the item they have agreed but want to charge me £50 plus VAT. Is this standard practice or is this unfair? Thanks.

·10 months agoIt is up to you to pay that fee for them to collect as you have decided the ladder is unsuitable for you.
If it isn't worth paying the fee, you could perhaps sell the ladders and get some of your money back that way.
Do they say on the listing that the return will be so expensive?
What is the item number?

Mentor10 months agoOkay, so it's for the return shipping cost, which they are allowed to ask you to pay if you want to return the ladder.

Mentor10 months agoIt depends what the reason is - if it's a restocking fee then no, it's not reasonable, but if it's the cost of the return postage it might be.
So, what's the £50 + VAT for?

Mentor10 months agoBuying on eBay from a UK registered seller, they will have ( should have! ) a Returns policy.
To return the items for a full refund, you would have to pay for that tracked return postage for returning them for the reason.... ' do not like the item/ change of mind '.
Is this the £50 they are quoting? The postage cost?
