Knife policy being taken too far
I'm Trying to sell a bandsaw. Ebay says it breaches their knife policy. It weights about 160 kg. It's not really something you can pull out on someone in a dark alley. I've spent an hour on the phone which did manage to get it briefly listed before it was withdrawn again for breaking the rules on delivery- it needs a courier to do an age check. You can't get a courier who will take that weight or do an age verification. It's even more annoying as there are many bandsaw being advertised with collection only eg 287185932167
If they are being so stupidly draconian with that rule can I point out that every car has a fan, therefore every car has a fan"blade". This should mean that every car sold has to be age verified and only sent by a courier. Are there any sensible people working for ebay- apart from the nice Irish lass that managed to get it listed the first time?. I have managed to list 2 other woodwork machines both with blades and again after some appeals got them live.

Mentor4 months agoWhat do you expect when AI is used, it is not intelligent, and just overrules advice given by agents.
The example you give, why not go to that listing, it is now in sold items, and use the “list similar” and edit as required, as it will then use the category used by that seller which seems to been allowed.
