Summary: ohoraherecaptain1 expressed frustration about a canceled eBay transaction initiated by the seller without their consultation, and plans to arrange their own courier for the purchase. tressygirl advised them to report their disagreement to eBay customer service and noted the cancellation reason could be a strategy to avoid seller account defects. papso22 confirmed that once a sale is canceled, there's nothing further to collect, but suggested reporting if the seller falsely marked the cancellation as buyer-requested.
I purchased a TV screen today only to find that eBay cancled my transaction based on the sellers request. I had nothing to do with any of this, and disagree with it, as eBay never consulted with me.
I am now requesting the seller to send me the weight/diamensions of this item, as I will arrange a courior from my end to pick th item up. I am a long term seller and buyer on eBay so look forward to your feedback on this.

Mentor3 days agoIf the sale was cancelled, that's it, there is nothing to collect. Ebay don't consult buyers about cancellations, but if the seller used 'buyer requested cancellation' as the reason you can report them.

Mentor3 days agoFirstly, apologies for the long delay in replying there was a technical issue with this particular board which prevented us from answering, until now.
Hopefully you have by now resolved the issue, be aware though you are talking to eBay members here like yourself, and not to eBay, they do not come to these boards.
If the seller cancelled with the reason ... Buyer Requests to Cancel', thy did this because it causes no damage, no defect to their selling account.
You cannot force the seller to sell the item, but you can inform CS you did not agree to cancel and were disappointed not to receive your item. They may place a damaging defect on the seller's account, but you will not be informed of any action taken.
It's not easy to contact an agent but go top of any eBay page click on Help & Contact to bring you to.... ' How Can We Help You ....' and keep typing in.... Speak to an agent.
Or use this link, it will bring you to the same spot.
