Jersey
Hi. I live in Jersey, Channel Islands and am having problems buying on eBay. When I go to pay I receive a message saying seller does not send to my destination despite it being show as one of their postal destinations on their item listing. This happens with different sellers and different items. I have raised with eBay over a dozen times now and never get a resolution. Can anyone tell me how to resolve this please???

Mentor10 months ago@**peaseblossom** its actually cheaper to send from the UK to the CI's as VAT on tracked services is not charged. So for example a tracked 24 parcel is ordinarily £5.29 at the post office counter, but if buying for Jersey, Guernsey etc then the cost is actually only £4.23 (ish!), the same rules apply if buying click and drop via RM.
I suspect the issue is ebay haven't got a system in place for this and for helping to produce the CN22 labels which need to be applied.

Mentor10 months agoJust to add ... the problem is Evri charge more for the CIs. Royal Mail charge the same as UK.
The seller can opt out of Evri in their postage preferences and relist. Then you should be OK.

Mentor10 months agoIt could be a couple of things, they may be using Evri as their method of dispatch which is why you get that message.
Its really a pigs ear of a mess, and its why simple delivery really is not simple and is more of a hinderance in these cases.
The other option is ask the seller to relist the item for you and ask them to switch the postage to seller pays (they may need to increase their price to cover the postage cost) select Royal MAil only and then they may need to physically buy the postage.
Alternatively point the seller in the direction of here and we can assist them too.
