I’ve reported a seller and heard nothing from Ebay
I’ve had reason to report a seller to EBay for selling defective goods. EBay sent an automated response saying they would take it from there and I’ve heard nothing since. How do I contact EBay?

Mentor3 weeks agoEbay never inform you of any actions they take when you report sellers.
As said by @papso22 opening case is correct way to deal with issues.

OP3 weeks ago · EditedI was persuaded to close the case when the seller said they would send another one out. This is why I reported the seller.

Mentor3 weeks agoThe seller lied to you telling you to close the case as they knew another cannot be opened ,and no way to now enforce any refund, or replacement from them.
No point informing eBay about this, but eBay do take action if too many cases for refunds are made against a seller.
If you still need a refund for a defective item, turn to your payment provider for help now.

Mentor3 weeks agoThe only thing ebay takes notice of is a case made using the money back guarantee.
