Mentor4 months agoSellers are responsible for their listings, and may put any old rubbish in them. The question to ask yourself when looking for an item with a guarantee is how can I enforce this guarantee if required?

OP4 months agoguarantees , and sell their products at a premium price because of the
guarantee. Only to discover that the guarantee is worthless, and then to
discover that ebay cannot help them, clearly indicates that anything
advertised on ebay with a guaraqntee is not worth considering. Best to buy
somewhere else.

Mentor4 months agoeBay state that sellers are responsible for their listings and that any buyer is purchasing from an eBay seller, not eBay.
Any guarantee offered by any seller anywhere (online or bricks and mortar store) isn't worth considering unless you can enforce it which, as I mentioned earlier, is something to consider when making any purchase.

If only buyers would read the user agreement they would learn that eBay warns buyers that they don't guarantee the quality of items sold here, or that they will be truthfully described, safe - or even legal.
Would you trust a shop that stated this? Most users have no idea of the risks they are accepting when buying here. eBay is a jungle.
