Item withdrawn from sale.
Hello. I received an email from EBAY stating that the item I bought had been withdrawn from sale (it may pose a security risk). I was advised to contact the seller, which I did. The seller replied that EBAY had sent this message to all of the seller's customers. And that I shouldn't worry, as I've been using the item for four years and nothing has happened. What should I do? Don't trivialise safety recalls. They don't usually mean that an item is immediately dangerous, but that in some circumstances it MAY present a danger. Many imported electrical devices don't comply with UK safety requirements; for electrical items this usually means a potential risk of electric shock or fire. Don't put yourself or other people at risk by ignorng it.
You certainly shouldn't rely on the word of a seller who obviously doesn't doesn't to know! If you search online you can probably find the reason for this recall. If the seller is a UK business seller and won't cooperate you should inform trading standards. (If they're in China, just bin it!)

After 4 years this is between you and seller.
Up to you if you still use it.
