Item switched
Hi anyone had problems such as an item being switched in transit? I sold a golf
Club but the buyer received a drinks bottle, the pictures they sent me show the box having been tampered with. How did you get it resolved?

Mentor2 months agoThe buyer needs to open a case for 'arrived damaged'. What happens next depends if it was simple delivery.

Mentor2 months agoAs a Simple Delivery transaction, the buyer needs to open a case make sure it is this one, for item damaged in transti.
Under SD rules, eBay refund the buyer, and you get to keep the payout for the item.

OP2 months agoThank you very much, that is helpful. However buyer has requested a return, can he stilll open a “damaged in transit” case?

Mentor2 months agoWhat reason did they give for the return? If for item not as described / Does Not Match Description, then unfortunately, you will have to pay that refund.
If the reason is damaged in transit, eBay will refund.
