Item shipped via Ebay RM Postage but has been lost - how does the seller claim for the lost package?
A buyer raised a case as item not received - it appears last as no update on RM, etc. - this was posted via the eBay labels (RM - 2nd Class Parcels). As the case was raised, the buyer has been refunded; however, as the seller, how do I claim compensation for the lost goods?
RM direct state max £20, whereas via eBay, insured to £75 (item circa £50.00).
Any idea on the next steps?
Regards

Mentor4 months agoDis you use a Simple Delivery postage label?
Then eBay refund the buyer, and you get to keep the payout.
If this is the case, as payouts are always held when cases are opened, once the refund is finalised the payout will be released to you.
If you did not use SD but bought your own RM postage from Post Office or online, you now need to claim for a lost item directly from Royal Mail, using your proof of postage tracking details.

The postage was bought via eBay and provided an RM label to attach to the parcel.
The refund to the buyer was taken from my eBay balance.
I though ebay would have covered the refund, etc., but obviously not, I assume I need to raise with RM now?

·4 months agoEbay only refund if you use a Simple Delivery label,
If you bought the label through Ebay, you dealt with Packlink and you must make your claim to them. Royal Mail will not respond to you.
