Item sent to wrong address but EBay closed case for refund appeal
EBay decided to close the case because the seller stated they provided tracking details. I even went as far as contacting FedEx who were helpful and advised me to contact the authorities as the address nor the name matched the package I was suppose to receive. The seller barely communicated with me other than they will investigate plus I provided proof the postcode was wrong even the name. EBay stated they closed the case but I do not have reception nor front desk? The postcode is on the other side of the town I live in plus FedEx told me they could not hand out the information because I was the wrong person. This smells so dodgy that even I am surprised ebay could not check this out properly. I advised EBay to recheck because this can go to a small claims court where the money can increase as this affected my mental health because I was very excited to have a one of kind blow dryer for my natural hair and nieces and nephews instead I was lied to and given false information and even the price was very low which made me suspect as well. What should I do? I have appeal their decision and feel like this is not fair at all!

·10 months agoIf you don't get anywhere with Ebay, then go to your payment provider for a chargeback.
They should properly check that the tracking and delivery details match your address. That will be simpler than trying to make a claim using a legal route like money claim online.
Be aware though, once you start the process with your bank or Paypal, you can't go any further with a claim against Ebay.

Mentor10 months agoIt's worth trying Customer Services again if you have the proof from Fed Ex that the postcode on the item does not match the one on your delivery order / the one you have registered as a delivery address on your account.
With this evidence in my humble opinion they should look a little closer as to what has happened here, but I strongly recommend contacting CS first thing on weekday morning at 8 a.m. when lines first open for ' live agents' as there's more chance of Dublin answering.
Only speak to them, it's a Call Back option so you'll hear if it's Ireland calling !
This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

Lines open 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. on weekdays
9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on weekends.
Automated agents will be available on chat outside of the above hours.
As said, I recommend contacting CS first thing in the morning as there's more chance of Dublin answering.
Good luck, and please come back and tell us how you got on!
