Item says delivered buy not recieved left outside but not there when I got home

Hi I bought a Hollywood mirror which states delivered left outside but the item isn't outside I reported to ebay to complain opened up a case they got back said cancelled so I appealed it again it was cancelled I don't understand why ? This is wrong it states delivered outside but that's not to me is it , so how can this be classed as a delivery ? This is so unfair so now I'm left to pay for something I never got I really don't understand ebay at all it states money back guarantee yes but in my case it wasn't has anyone else encountered this because I'm baffled and don't know what to do , I have contacted seller about this matter also again to see what they can do . I think it's wrong that ebay do not refund this .

It does seem unfair when stolen from doorstep, but from sellers angle, buyer could just as easily claim not received, having picked up from doorstep.
Probably worth reporting to police and then see if your house insurance provides any protection.

Mentor1 month agoEbay believes tracking over what a buyer says. Anything else would be unworkable but it is the one flaw in the money back guarantee.
Businesses are legally responsible for delivery into the hands of the buyer but you would need to deal with that outside of ebay.
You could try a claim through your funding source.
