Item refund
Hi
I brought an item and payed promptly, been waiting ages with no arrival
so I contacted eBay and explained ticking the box to say I still wanted the item.
shortly after I received a refund notification with no explanation as to why.
could someone please enlighten me to what’s gone on here!
thanks for you time.
regards Jake

Mentor6 months agoOnly the seller can answer your question as to why you did not receive your item, but if you opened a case for item not received, then yes you would have received a full refund.
There could be many reasons why the item was not sent, as said , only the seller can answer, but they are not obliged to.
No one can force a seller to post out a paid for item, but refunds in these cases when carried out correctly and within the timeframe of 30 days as yours was , are guaranteed.

Mentor6 months agoI don't know why ebay have "I still want item" option.
This just means seller can delay you escalating case.
Better to get refund, then buy again.
Although you have 30 days from case opening to escalate, but better to do it ASAP after 3 days.

OP6 months agoThere was even an Evri tracking number provided.
I expect the item could of got lost or something…. It’s the no explanation that bugged me. Regards Jake

Mentor6 months agoAnother reason to always accept a refund and not a replacement ( if there is a replacement to send , most Private sellers would not have multiples of the same item), is that the replacement if faulty , would not be covered by eBay's MBG policy.
Always better to receive a refund, and buy the item again elsewhere.
