Item oversold in error - what should I do?
Hy there, I seem to have sold to three buyers at the same time - What should I do? I got a message from a buyer that my add said that there was zero stock in an item. While I went back into my advert the eBay seems to have accepted bids (and payments) from 3 buyers while I was making the changes. What should I do? This may have been an error on my part for going into the system while a feeding frenzy was colouring. I cannot see from the system who got in first so should I just apologise to all and refund them all .... and then re-advertise. Whichever way someone won't be happy?

Mentor10 months agoThe important thing to remember is that if cancelling for out of stock, that will give you three defects, which is bound to take you over the 2% expected by ebay, putting you below standard with possible selling restrictions.

Mentor10 months agoAs you say, whatever you do at least two of them are not going to be happy. If you can't tell who bought first it probably would be best to cancel/refund them all and relist.
