Item not recevied.
I ordered a pair of tweezers from Japan in December, they never arrived. I requested a refund and the seller first agreed then said the item had been delivered. They then rejected my refund and appealed against it.
Ebay agreed with the seller.
The tracking history was all by Japan post and showed the item being delivered back to the seller on the 28th January. It shows the item never left Japan.
I have appealed the decision but forgot to include the reference to the item being returned to the seller.
I have close to 500 buys on eBay and I would class my conduct as impeccable.
How can I make eBay aware of the tracking shown that the item is with the seller as my reply is locked.

OP5 months agoMy appeal was granted. EBay must have read the information supplied and agreed with me.
How they initially sided with the seller when he said the goods had been returned to him by customs baffles me.
thanks to those who responded.

OP5 months agoThanks for the reply, I don't think there is much chance of me receiving the item as the tracking provided shows it was returned to the seller in Japan.
How eBay has sided with the seller remains a mistery.
This is a duplicate buy same item same seller, makes me wonder which information eBay has viewed to reach their conclusion.

Mentor5 months agoYou do not give the date that delivery was expected in the UK as if more than 30 days ago, you are out of time for any case being opened.
If you get nowhere with ebay, try your payment provider.

OP5 months agoHi John,
Ordered on the 8th December 2025 and the end delivery date was only the 28th January. Payment by PayPal with my credit card as source.
If eBay side with the seller who do I contact, PayPal or my CC provider .
Thanks for the reply

Mentor5 months agoAs it's coming from Japan even though the last estimated date for delivery has passed and you can open a case now for a refund, personally I would wait another few days, say if it's not delivered in Monday's post then proceed this way....
Go right of the item purchased, and from More Actions select.... I Have Not Received My Item.
If you are not fully refunded within 3 days, you must escalate the case on day 4 or within 30 days from opening the case, and eBay will step in and force the refund.
Do not close the case early for any excuse or promise the seller may give, and do not forget to escalate.
Stick with the eBay case, do not open a case with your payment provider at the same time, as it will look like you are after 2 refunds, and both may then close against you.
