item not received
hi all, ive just had a customer open a case saying they didnt receive their item.... the item was dispatched on the 28th october, 100 days ago.... it was a fairly cheap item so should i just send a refund and suffer the loss or will ebay say that too much time has lapsed for them to suddenly decide theyve not received it?

OP5 months agothanx for the replies all.... i dont know how if you order something you suddenly decide its not received 100 days later..... if i dont refund tho, can they still leave negative feedback? or will i get a black mark on my account from ebay because i havent refunded?

Mentor5 months agoFeedback has to be left within 60 days, so too late now.
As buyer is also too late to open case, ebay won't be interested.

Mentor5 months agoRefunds through ebay can only be done up to 90 days from date of sale.

Mentor5 months agoThey can open the case but it cannot be escalated it's too late to be refunded through eBay.
They could try their payment provider and probably in if there's no tracking to show delivery, or as you say it's a cheap item, as a goodwill gesture you could just refund them, which would need to be via a cheque, bank transfer, or a PayPal Friends and Family payment.

Mentor5 months agoIt's far too late. Although cases can still be opened it won't get anywhere and will expire eventually. So it's up to you whether you refund or not but it's too late to do that on ebay too. You'd have to send as payment.
