I purchased the above item as a gift for a 74 year old family member, who has Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) as they can no longer use a regular vacuum cleaner. At first the item seemed fit for purpose working on vinyl flooring and a small rug in the lounge in their small flat. In mid November they complained the battery pack was not holding a charge despite the seller advertising 45 minute cleaning. By January this had dropped to 10-15 minutes.
I have messaged the seller, but I have not received a response which does not surprise me as they never supplied the replacement battery I requested.

Just a reminder that we have all accepted eBay's warning in the user agreement that they don't guarantee the quality of items sold here, or that they will be truthfully described, safe or even legal. Who would buy from a shop that stated this? Buying from unknown sellers on eBay is not like buying from he shops;
eBay's own money back guarantee covers most items for 30 days. After that, any dispute is entirely between the seller and the buyer. Your best hope is that depending upon how you paid,your payment provider may still be able to help. Good luck.

If it was a business seller try Citizens Advice.

I assume it was UK business seller, so contact citizens advice for help.

Mentor6 months agoSorry but its long past ebay's 30 day deadline for claims. Contact your payment provider amd ask about a refund or chargeback. If you used your credit card to buy it you could try a Section 75 claim:
