Item location
I’ve placed an order for an item located in the UK, the seller claims, with a delivery of 48 hours by courier.
The order was placed on the 14th March, still hasn’t been delivered, the seller hasn’t responded to correspondence.
Anyone else had dealings like this?

Mentor6 months agoYou need to look at item in purchase history for delivery.
Live listing will show date if you bought today.
Seller has done nothing wrong about posting, as long as item arrives within time stated it is OK.

OP6 months agoI rechecked the advert, within the small print, seller dispatches within 6 days of received payment..
Well they got my money straight away!...Ebay stated delivery dates which have subsequently passed. Now stated as arriving 24th March...
All this is very misleading, the advert clearly states 48 hour courier delivery but I've received nothing, not even a reply from the seller whose address is in the UK...
Come tomorrow, I'll be claiming non receipt of goods and filing a complaint against the seller.
I dont understand how Ebay allows this kind of practice...?

·6 months agoIf the latest estimated delivery date from the email you got when you paid has passed, then you can start an item not received claim.
You must go by the date on that email, not the date on the current listing.
It really is worth looking at everything carefully when you purchase online.
When you bought, the estimated delivery date would have shown that the seller was not going to be very quick to post.
This is not really something you can complain about. Many sellers, especially private sellers who may be juggling full-time jobs, homes and families etc. can take several days to post. However, the estimated delivery date would have been shown on the listing along with the service used. There is no intention to deceive.
I use RM Tracked 48, but I only post once a week so my items may take a while to arrive. Neither I nor Ebay try to hide this.

Mentor6 months agoCheck item in purchase history for estimated delivery date.
It may be 48 hour courier, but does not mean seller posts immediately after payment.
You can open item not received case 1 day after estimated delivery date, escalate on day 4.

Mentor6 months agoOnce the estimated delivery date shown in your order confirmation email has passed open a claim for item not received, if you don't hear from the seller in 3 days escalate the claim to eBay for a refund.
