item did not purchase bu arrived
hell all,
i recently was browsing ebay for an item few days ago, i recieved item did not purchase, find it very strange (1) item that size would be click/collect, (2) would have to buy it now, then clarify before final payment,
had to notify the bank of cancelation, would rather speak to someone as from the old school of vinyl records,
think item has a return policy but in any case would like help and advice cheers. markos campbell.

OP7 months agoyeah the money came out of my bank account i was shock because item that size have to be of click/and collect option only and i did not confirm any payment to my knowledge,
had to phone the bank and cancel the card,

Mentor7 months agoIf you make an offer, seller can request immediate payment if offer accepted.
Also same thing can happen if you click on some BIN.

We have heard of this happening before when people browse on their phones using the app.

OP7 months agostill cant understand purchasing item without knowledge strange,
and is it possible by browsing using android app phone it happens.
but then again i would have notice a purchase,

·7 months agoI am not sure what your question is or why you need to speak to Ebay.
You can't accidentally buy things. Genuinely, if members bought everything they browsed, it would be chaos.
Were you browsing at work? Does anybody else have access to your account? Have you actually paid and is the item showing in your account?
Can you clarify what you mean when you say you 'had to notify the bank of the cancellation'?
Have they refunded you?

question (1) has anyone just by browsing had item paid and deliver to your home without prior knowledge,
yes item was paid and showing in my account,
Had to notify the bank to cancel the card which is register to me knowingly i did not purchase the item,
admit not tech savvy but have a clear idea of payment, been an ebay member 2012,
would like some explanation cheers. markos campbell.

If a phone it is possible that screen lag meant that touches registered on buying and payment screens without those being the ones you were looking at.
It's not possible to buy and pay if none of the 'buttons' are pressed, whether inadvertently or on purpose.
