Item delivered to designated buyer post office
hi
just need some advice as never had this before. Sent item out 48 hr RM delivery and buyer requested it be sent to their local post office, It arrived there on Thursday, how long should I leave it till emailing the buyer to say it is there or should I drop him a polite email to say it is waiting collection now
Also is this deemed as being delivered in this scenario?
Thanks

OP6 months agoMaybe heading should read "Item delivered to designated buyer post office as requested by buyer"

OP6 months agoMaybe heading should read "Item delivered to designated buyer post office as requested by buyer after item sent to sellers address on ebay and on label"

Mentor6 months agoIf tracking is showing delivery to the address on the order details then you've done your bit, but it wouldn't do any harm to message your buyer and let them know that their item is available for collection now.

Mentor6 months agoYou are supposed to only send to the address the buyer has registered with ebay, ie. the address on the postage label supplied by ebay. Otherwise in theory buyer could claim money back in a "not received" case and still get the item from their post office.
Hopefully your buyer is honest so a friendly reminder to collect it would probably help.

Mentor6 months agoThat's fine in that case. It's up to the buyer to collect.

OP6 months agoSent a polite email saying item was at the designated po that they had requested it to be sent to (not very far from the home address when you google it within walking distance) and sent a screenshot from the tracking. Told them that they usually return it if not collected after a period of time no contact as of yet. If he does not collect and he either does an inr or it is returned I will block him.
Done everything right on my side and have evidence he requested it to be sent to local po so hopefully if he does an inr ebay will rule in my favour
