Somebody is trying to part you from your property without paying you.
You can advise them that each watch will have to be sent separately due to the value and the limitations on cover offered by the carrier.
Tell them they are welcome to purchase and pay for the watches they want through Ebay and you will get them posted when you have confirmation from Ebay that payment has been made.
They will either try again, possibly saying they will pay via Paypal directly into your Paypal account (VERY BIG RED FLAG) or they will go away.
No reason why it should be spam, seems a reasonable question, for information which should have been in the description. Can see no reason why it should be a delaying tactic, which for a buyer would need to be a long delay to get past pay by day to avoid unpaid strikes.
To my mind buyer should have asked question before bidding/buying.
Asking you to accept payment outside of eBay is against eBay's rules anyway. Why would a buyer want to pay in a way that would leave them without eBay's authenticity and money back guarantees? (Answer: because their "payment" would be faked, which they hope you won't discover until you've already dispatched the watch.)
You have to expect attempts at fraud when selling high-end watches on eBay.
It's not clear what you've posted there, but if you have some watches for sale and the first message is from a potential buyer then they're trying to drag you outside of eBay to complete a transaction, which is a red flag.
All payments must be made via eBay checkout by the buyer in order for the seller to have any seller protection.
